It features a first-person account from a child with learning disabilities, a chapter on computers, and an extensive resource list for parents. | With the dramatic changes that are taking place in our part of the world, it is vital that we start thinking about the education of our children, as they are the ones who hold the key to the future. Of paramount importance is our educational system, for this shapes the mind and character of the next generation in our society. | The higher is also the deepest, and in it the separate moments are grouped together in the subsequent pigmentation of the subjective unity, the need for the interconnectedness that characterizes directness is eliminated, and the separate moments are returned to the subjective unity. | The psychic life in newborns has aroused great interest. Th conclusion of research is that the first two years of life are the most important. So here begins a new path, wherein it will not be the professor who teaches the child, but the child who teaches the professor. |

First published in 1968, the year of international-student confrontation and revolution, this classic challenges readers to choose which of two roads humankind ought to take: the one, leading to a completely mechanized society with the individual a helpless cog in a machine bent on mass destruction; or the second, being the path of humanism and hope.
Together they weave biblical teaching with practical tips that will help readers answer questions like these: How can I. . .• clear out unnecessary clutter in my home? • overcome anxiety? • rely on God for my sustenance? • get free from too much technology and/or entertainment? • preserve a Sabbath rest? • free myself from the stronghold of materialism?
"The Teach the Text Commentary Series builds a wonderful bridge between the academic works of the past and contemporary works of the present day. The content is easy to comprehend while giving enough meaty knowledge so everyday students and teachers of the Bible can grab hold of the powerful text with an assurance of sound interpretation. I can't wait for my first copy to sit squarely on the corner of my desk!"--Dr. David Anderson, Lead Pastor, Bridgeway Community Church, Columbia, MD
Dr. Caroline Leaf is a communication pathologist and audiologist who has worked in the area of cognitive neuroscience since 1985. Her pioneering work on neuroplasticity--that changes in thinking actually change the brain and can effect behavioral change
These 16 sermons contain in concentrated form some of Tillich's most lambent themes. Although they were first published in the early 1960s, the pieces in question take up preoccupations which continue to haunt us at the beginning of the 21st century.
In this collaborative work the authors closely explore the growing academic and cultural interest in spirituality and spiritual transformation. They argue that "we are witnessing a new horizon of converging interest in the intersections between science, religion, and spirituality." Organized in three parts--transforming spirituality in psychology, transforming spirituality in theology, and modeling spiritual transformation--Transforming Spirituality fills a void in the current literature. In turn, its nine chapters discuss spirituality in relation to health, human development, the biblical tradition, philosophy, and the natural sciences.

The world houses people equally with natural things. When the world is thus treated as a gathering or even a gathering of natural things, it is not conceived as nature, and we do not understand that it is something that is in itself a holistic system, a system of regulations and arrangements, especially laws.
"Leanne Payne says when men are healed, the pathway for the wholeness of women will follow. I believe this book shows clearly the critical basic steps not only in the releasing of 'single power' but also of 'couple power.'"

This comprehensive exploration of the interpretive process,
has served as a successful textbook. It focuses on the three "worlds" of biblical interpretation--the world of the author, the world of the text, and the world of the reader--to help students develop an integrated hermeneutical strategy. The book offers clear explanations of interpretive approaches, which are supported by helpful biblical examples, and succinct synopses of various interpretive methods. Pedagogical aids include end-of-chapter review and study sections with key terms, study questions, and suggestions for further reading.
Did Marcel’s philosophy of secrets achieve a push to the thought? People tend to hide secrets: his origins, his destiny, his existence, he is a collection of secrets. And above of all secrets, the secret of the existence or – according to Marcel - the ontology secret. Its different from the secrets of faith, or theology secrets.
